This upgrade is based on several months of rigorous automated quality-assurance testing, comparing different versions of InstaText’s language improvement engines across different types of academic and non-academic writing.
During this testing, each suggestion is evaluated and labeled by quality:
- Highly recommended – clear improvements that should usually be accepted
- Minor/optional – neutral or stylistic changes
- Non-recommended – changes that do not improve the text or may reduce quality
As a result of the upgrade, suggestion quality has increased substantially. The share of clear, high-value suggestions increased from ~34% to ~70%, while the proportion of non-recommended suggestions decreased from 8% to under 1%.
For users, this means editing that is more consistent, more accurate, and easier to rely on.
